Hello all,
Just a short update.  It has been a while since I posted anything.  We
learned from our Hospice nurse last week that my MIL only has 2-4 weeks
left.  Her condition has worsened quite dramatically over the last
week.  We had a hospital bed put into her room and she is too weak to
really get up much.  We are doing all we can to give her what she
needs.  She sleeps a lot.  One of us stays with her at all times now
because she has gotten confused a couple of times and has tried to get
up and fallen.  Thankfully she hasn't hurt herself and she isn't in
very much pain from the cancer itself.  We are hoping things go quickly
now - she feels she is ready and wants that.
Thank you for your support throughout this.

Hello Michele,
Thank you for the update.
I know that every possible avenue was considered and explored and that your
MIL was very much part of the decision-making process.
Thank you for being there for her, Michele.
I know the brunt of the responsibility and stress was probably on you.
So it's good to read that you're taking turns staying by her side.
Hopefully you can get some much needed rest and sleep.between "shifts".
You will all be in my thoughts over the coming difficult weeks.
( ( ( Michele, daughter, hubby and MIL ) ) )
