Good on ya.
I'm still having trouble walking more than a few hundred meters, but
straight after my op the oncologist put me on steroids. The first thing
I said to him was .. Well there goes my chance of making the next Olympics.
Tongue in cheek of course, as I have never been that good at sports, bar
sprints at primary school (grade school). But I do intend to get back to
running as soon as I can ditch this walking stick.
You're an inspiration Elsie. Keep it up and maybe we'll see you in the
Hawaii ironman some day.

Thanks, Rob. I've actually never been good at sports, either. As of
the beginning of this year, I could not run a mile... So there's hope
for all of us.
After I finish this Olympic distance Ironman in May I'd like to train
for a Half Ironman. A full Ironman will take a whole lot more than
either one of those, but - and don't tell anybody this - to tell you
the truth, there is that little voice in the back of my head that
thinks that I might one day be able to do the Full Ironman in
Hawaii.... Now THAT would be an accomplishment :-)

She's been posting here so long, that I'm betting that if she told us where,
before hand, there's be a grand cheering team at each event.(if she wanted
there to be).
