Critical illness cover - DOES LYMPHOMA COUNT?

Can any one help me?  I have been diagnosed with a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma,
and am trying to make a claim against a critical illness policy I have.  It
states that Hodgkin's Lymphoma is covered, but does not make any reference
to Non-Hodgkin's.  It does state that Lymphoma is NOT covered where HIV is
evident, but does not indicate if it is included where HIV is not evident.
Confusing?!?!?  Needless to say the Insurance company will not tell me one
way or another at the moment... "It's in the hands of our assessors,
Sir...!"  And the ABI has been very little help either.  If you have been in
this situation, with this illness, I would really appreciate you letting me
know what the outcome was.  No personal details of course, it's your
personal business, but a hint in the right direction would really help with
the financial suspense I am in, apart from my actual illness, right now!
Thanks!

Hi Mike,

I'm in Canada so I can't help directly, but I belong to a list where many
people can offer great support both for your NHL and for your struggles with
your insurance company. Go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nhl/. For mail
delivery options, visit http://www.nhlcyberfamily.org  and click on the FAQ
section. Believe me it will be well worth your while. Best of luck with both
beasts, the NHL and the insurance company.
