In March 2004 my mother was diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer.
She had chemotherapy & radiation treatment and in August 2004 she was
told she was cancer-free.

She's been in a lot of pain the last couple of weeks and her doctor
ordered an MRI of her spine--it is full of cancer.  She is being sent
to a hospital here in the city where I live and will arrive tonight.
We have no idea how bad it is or what the next treatment step will be
at this point.

Please pray for her.

Radiotherapy would be the next logical step

I imagine it would be.  I know that SCLC is very aggressive & almost
always spreads to other parts of the body.  My family was hoping my
mother would be one of the lucky ones...I guess not.

I am so very sorry, Kim.
We were so hopeful when it was limited stage.
We're here for you, as you are able.
Many hugs to you and your mother.

I'm sorry to hear that her cancer has returned, that's a fear that we
all share.  Hopefully they can alleviate the pain that she's suffering.

My prayers are with both of you at this most difficult time.
