Yes, I'm here, slowly catching up with dozens of posts.  I've
been in bed all week with flu-type symptoms and a chest
infection but I'm starting to come alive a bit now.

So fret not, I am here; I'm about a week behind with reading
though.

I saw your photos of some of the heavy duty work you were doing around the
house. A few hours of that would have me in bed with flu like symptoms and
a hot toddy too.

Now that the wiring's more or less finished we've started on
the shed roofs.  This weekend's project, which entailed having
a houseful of willing helpers from another NG (the shed,
appropriately enough) removing slates and wood, making a new
frame for new timbers, adding felt and then replacing slates.
We're about a third of the way through, having replaced the
roof of the top shed.  The next task will be to try to work
the same magic on the toolshed, which covers a bigger area,
without the benefit of my shedfriends, all of whom had to go
home today to face work commitments tomorrow.  There's a new
set of photos up in the shed gallery.

Poor Auntie Em, I hope that you are on the road to recovery.  That sounds
similar to the nasty bug that Kelly caught too, it actually had her laid up
for a good couple of days (was nice and quiet though with no teenage angst
;-)

Lots of hot tea and chocolate will soon bring your energy levels back up.

Warm Hugs

From the posts that you have missed - you were better off being snuggled up
in bed.

I am now thanks, but it's been a bit gruesome.

There's a load of it going round here; according to my GP
people have been dropping like flies.  Dunno 'bout being like
a fly; I certainly dropped though  :-(

Ohh, if only!  I've been sipping at honey dissolved in hot
water to ease my throat and haven't really eaten since last
Sunday evening - although I'm starting to nibble a few
mouthfuls now.  I've got cough medicine, and it's absolutely
*foul*, so it must be good.  Urghh.

So I gathered.  I'm staying right out of it.  I'm just glad
that so many really ill people have still got enough energy in
them to fight over such petty stuff.  It's pathetic.
