I am curious, how much time do you spend each day on the internet ( not work related).
I would say I spend about 1-2 hours a day surfing the net.
Places I go, are several forums like this, and checking news out.

Loads! My main internet hobby is newsgroups, and I can be
found all over the place for about 3 or 4 hours minimum each
evening and all day most weekends. Which is another reason
why life's too short to do housework ;-)

Em, Are you a retired RN? (GuessWho posted that you are). I searched Google and couldn't
find where you said you are or I missed it and my memory is failing me :-(
If so, it must run in certain careers, Mom hated housework, she'd rather be outdoors working
instead.
But we never had 39 bags of trash all at once ;-) IOW the place was kept neat, if not
dust-petfurfree.

dont post html on the internet
what qualifies as "not work related"? I never know where or when I might
run across something that will end up in an article for me.

As a retired RN and former home caregiver of an Alzheimer spouse, owner of a
small AD support group for those still traveling the Alzheimer caregiver
road, relative of many family members with cancers of different types, my
own enlarged multinodular thyroid; my computer is by my easy chair and
stays open.
I research and search for information that might help my group, my family
and myself.
In fact I recently ran onto a new bit of diet information relating to
breast cancer - especially Her2neu - the type my daughter had. Olive oil
used in the diet seems to replicate the effects Herceptin has on the cancer
cells. It also aids the body when olive oil diet (such as the true old
fashioned Mediteranean diet) is used in conjunction with Herceptin.
Naturally my daughter with that type of previous cancer was most interested.
The Mediteranean itself is a good diet. So no harm done and maybe some
good.

Too much time, if I am home. Sometimes I leave myself logged on for hours, but
I am not using the PC. But, the internet is so loaded with trojans and viruses
that I am very careful about where I click.
I'm not much for watching television during the day. I check the internet in
the morning, and then watch Regis and Kelly, and then read a book.
I am currently not working, by choice, although it was a mutual agreement
because my employers needed a full-time employee, and luckily I received a
little settlement (6 months salary) which I desperately needed to pay-off my
debts. I am going to look into disability for the time being, but have every
intention of returning to work soon. This is why I have so much time for the
internet <g>. What else is there to do?
