"The War Against Quackery is a carefully orchestrated, heavily endowed
campaign sponsored by extremists holding positions of power in the orthodox

meant to root out incompetent doctors; it was, and is, designed specifically

If anybody out there has time and the energy to report him, select his posts,
then show full headers (I'll post them), then insert the blurb and forward to
his ISP.
To: <abuse@btopenworld.com>
BT Yahoo you have a dial-up subscriber that posts links to his web site
whale.to in violation of alt.support.cancer Charter and Usenet AUP. John
does not have cancer. John does flood the newsgroup with his posts, nearly
all of them have nothing to do with cancer support. Many are outside of the
topic for the newsgroup.
Please enforce your Usenet AUP.

Ah, so "J" really IS the idiotic "Dr." Stephen Barrett. Your blustering
prose sounded like it. How come you don't sign your name anymore? Has it
just become too embarrassing? Too much of a liability?
I think you need to put your resume (not the fake one you present as an
"expert witness" who knows nothing) but the REAL one on the site, and tell
us who supports your vicious campaign.
I asked you once what exactly the difference was between a "trial" and an
"unproven" therapy. You never did answer me. Obviously, if a therapy is in
clinical trial, or is considered experimental, it is not yet proven,
therefore should be referred to as "unproven", yet you only call nontoxic
therapies "unproven". Hmmm. Bias?
So, "Dr." Barrett, you may try to stop it, but you cannot. You can't fool
all the people all the time, no matter how much your Big Pharma paymasters
pay you.
I would be a lot more receptive to someone with a less vicious and more open
mind. Maybe the ear-piercing Bobbie Baratz?

Yeah, I'm afraid this J has become really tiresome to us people who enjoy a
bit of levity and hope in our ongoing fight against cancer. I don't care how
many so called quacks advertise as long as we are allowed to have our own
opinions without interference from self important a**eholes, threatening us
every time somone appears to have improved their position. I fully respect
the opinions of qualified persons who are involved in our dilemma, but
anyone can use a search engine. Do us all a favour and go enjoy someone
else's misery.

Howard,
J is not Dr. Barrett. In fact she is not a doctor. She is a great supporter
and hugger. But we love her anyway.

What the hell does that mean?
Get "real", Jerry.
I do more than that.
I am also interfering with his income.

After the clinical trial, ask his State Attorney General to investigate.

For now, shut him down (like I suggested) by reporting him to his ISP.

I am also (trying to) save lives, in case you didn't notice, Jerry.

I thought I was being supportive. You may need to lighten up a bit.

I think that was uncalled for J. I saw Jerry's response as supportive,
nothing else.
I also don't like posts re "alternative" cures. My killfile takes care
of them tho' except for the quoted replies. Unfortunately I also
believe that everyone has a choice - accepted treatment or
alternative.
Please don't turn this group into a war-zone ;)
