Hi Morgs,
You're not spamming but I can't keep up with the posts.<smile>
Watch for posts from Steph or Mike R who probably know immediately what to do.
(in case you cannot contact the doctor right now). Is there an oncology nurse
where he's treated that you could call?
This website says to "protect the skin from sun" when on 5-FU and "The skin
there can become red and sore. It may begin to peel. You may also have
tingling, numbness, itching or a rash in these areas. Your doctor may prescribe
vitamin B6 tablets for you because this can help to prevent or control this side
effect." http://www.cancerhelp.org.uk/help/default.asp?page=2580
(Vitamin supplementation) Something to clear with his doctor first though. So
perhaps a call to the doctor/nurse would be adviseable and if a cream is
recommended to help, that would get things improving. I'm reluctant to suggest
anything except I see on other newsgroups mention of "no scents" in creams or
gels.
I'll have to leave suggestions to other readers, in case they have a good tip
for you.
Hope it gets cleared up quickly
Best,
J

You should let the oncologist know, but 1% hydrocortisone cream may work
well

Thank you Steph. I'll ask Baz to speak with someone when he goes in Monday.

Thank you J.
You're a wonder at internet references. I go for a Google and I come up
pretty empty--you're a Godsend.
Cheers,
Morgs
