Alayne - 02 May 2004 23:02 GMT > I haven't heard from you in awhile. Just wondering how you are making out. > Take care. > Hugs > Salisha Hi Salisha,
Oh don't worry I'm here! Desperately trying to bite my tongue over some of the posts of late mind. I don't understand what their objectives are and really can't be arsed with them either! As we both know, life has it's own major battles and all this nonsense just pales in comparison.
I'm doing okay, thanks for asking. I did have a squiffy moment earlier on today, I'm smirking right now though. I happened to be in the bath (of all places!!) and for some reason Tony's funeral was running through my thoughts, I don't know, it's kinda weird really, but I was reliving walking behind his coffin down the aisle (I remember at the time that it was just like our wedding day, well sort of anyway!). I think that my mind plays tricks on me sometimes, I carry on with the daily pattern of life, and then some little trigger makes me realise that his departure is permanent. I suppose after twenty years it's bound to be a bit hard to go solo.
How are you doing? I see that you are posting a bit more now which is good but I wouldn't waste your energy on the "fuckwits" (hope that makes you grin J!)
As I've said before, if you want some "cyber company", I am always around, either here or off line, I've got several addresses and can always leave a version here for you to work out!!
Take care of yourself too Salisha
Girly Hugs
Alayne

[quoted text clipped - 34 lines] > > I agree with you, what a waste of reading some of these posts have been! It is funny what little things can trigger you, I think I'm doing fine and then the simplest little thing has me in tears! I guess in time it will get easier, it hasn't even been a month since his passing. My life has changed soooo much! Phyllis
Daffman - 03 May 2004 01:48 GMT I think me ranting at the "fuckwits" is my way of venting without getting too personal here. I can get my anger out and piss them off a little bit. Anyway, I love cyber company, I would love to have an address:) Hope to hear from you soon;) Salisha

I go back to work tomorrow, that will keep my days busy! I'm from Maine, USA, where are you from? Phyllis
Daffman - 03 May 2004 02:20 GMT I am from New Brunswick, Canada...we're neighbours... It really sucks when you realize it. Patrick has been gone for two months now, and I can cry at the strangest things. Take care. I went back to work just after Easter. It was good for me, filled in some of the day. I find the evenings are the toughest part of the day, that and waking up to an empty bed, I've learned to sleep in the middle now. I hate this life, and I believe I always will. Man, when I see him, he is gonna hear it from me, how dare he leave when we were just starting this! He better find a damn good restaurant in Heaven, and a damn big diamond. I told him I wanted to marry him, he told me he didn't while he was sick. Well he won't be sick up there, so now he has no choice! Anyway, take care. Salisha

It would be so hard to be stuck in the house if it were winter! We were married for 42 years, we practically raised each other! We were only 19 when we married, just babies! (>: I have a hard time sleeping nights, I can keep myself busy during the day, but what do you do when there's nothing to do!? Some times I try to pretend that he's just away, but that really doesn't work either. Believing in the "afterlife" makes it easier too, I can feel him around me at times. It also makes me feel better knowing that he's not suffering anymore too> Phyllis
Daffman - 03 May 2004 02:43 GMT Patrick was 25, I am 26. He turned 25 October 10. He had cancer since he was 22 years old. Had major surgery and too much chemo to count. Sick, sick, sick. Gave him three years to live with this, not sure if it did any good, but it did make me love him more every day. He was so brave, caring and loving. He never complained, he always worried about me, and I will love him forever S

Sick, [quoted text clipped - 5 lines] > >It's so much harder when your so young, and so unfair! I have two sons that still live at home it makes it easier for me not to come home to an empty house, one is 24 and the other29. They took the lose of their father very hard! I have many good memories to look back on but I'm not sure if that makes it easier, or harder. There's an old saying, "it's better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all!" That's so true. Did I read in another post that he was a motorcyclist? My husband was too, we had a lot of different types of people at the funeral, from bikers to doctors and every one in between! We buried him in his favorite HD shirt and jeans, he was always uncomfortable in a suit! And this was how people knew him best. Phyllis
Daffman - 03 May 2004 04:04 GMT No, Patrick didn't have a motorcycle, but he would have if I would have let him. Alayne's husband was the motorcyclist. As for your husband, my uncle did the same thing. My aunt took care of him for 20 years. He had Parkinson's and was in such bad shape. He was in the hospital with pneumonia and my aunt went home for the first time in two days and just as she got in the door at home, she got the call to come back because he had passed away. Sometimes, they just know it is better to go without someone there, and sometimes they know it is better to go with someone there. They know what is best, much more than we do. Salisha

I think I've translated your post OK though. You may have email if so :)

Now you know why my man is irreplaceable!! He wasn't wierd or anything, just had a sense of humour. It came to something though if I found him a new dress and the girls would ask "is that for you or daddy then" (probably cos I wear dresses so rarely!)
