Well here it is Day 13 since my first treatment, and right on time my
hair is falling out just like they said.  Had my first blood test done
Friday the 23rd and was told it is at normal rates, no big drop in
platlets or white cells,  So I am waiting for the second treatment 5th
of May.

Thanks for listening

When mine started falling out, I went to Supercuts and had them cut
everything off and a good shampoo got the loose ones.  It won't take
long for 95% of your hair to fall out.  I kept most of the other 5% as
fuzz during chemo.

Hello Frank,
You are going almost same pace as mi son. He got his first chemo dosis on
april the 5th. He has had two blood transfusions and three of platlets, but
now, after reaching day 15, he began to eat more and to look healthier.
Drs. said that the first dosis is smaller than the other, and transfusions
are quite usual. We?ll see.
We will pray for you. Regards,

?.

I had my first on the 14th have not lost my appetite but my taste buds
are out of wack and my stomach is in fits most of the time when I do not
eat bland foods.

I went through all this last year (June-Oct) and made it out the other
side.

It's not mentioned here very often, but smoking pot helps with the
stomach and boosts the morale. I think it's main function is an attitude
adjuster.

Try smoothies.  You can blend anything you want in them.  Make them high
calorie.  Weight loss is a big Bozo No-No.  I gained 30 lb during my
ordeal, and everybody was jumping with joy.  Now I have to take it off
gradually so they won't scold me too harshly<g>

Keep us posted on your progress.

Ah, yes, Bob.  I remember the encouragement to not lose any weight
(1st doctor in my life who encouraged weight gain!) And my oncol was a
teeny little thing.  I also came out of the whole thing having a net
gain of about 15 pounds.  Which I'm still trying to lose!

Good thinking Frank (akastew),
A garden will help lots. Can't wait to get into my garden, and waste the
days planting and keeping my mind off things(hopefully)  too.

good luck,
thinking of you,

Wow,  Frank, sounds like you're right on the schedule I had.  (My last
radiation was a year ago 4/23!!!! by the way).  I hope you continue to
do well and move thru it.

I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
