HDR question

I have just finished external radiation and had one HDR treatment which I
believe is brachytherapy type.  This was not explained to me.  I read it
from the various sites that cancer clinics put out for patients. This is for
a very small superficial recurrence of endometrial ca. in the vaginal cuff
with no detectable lymph involvement on MRI.
I am reading that there is usually 1 to 3 treatments of the HDR depending on
certain factors.  I believe that 1HDR should be sufficient and not the 3 HDR
at 10 minutes each.  Seems like overkill.  Original cancer was only stage
one with no spread.  How do I get a second opinion when this is the only
radiation game in town?   Differing opinion from stupid patients is
definitely not permitted.
I am afraid of repercussions if I do stop.
I am too fatigued, nauseous, and washed out from several weeks of diarrhea
to reason coherently.  I need an unbiased, knowledgeable advocate to come
with me to doctor's office.  Not sure where to find one.
I doubt if there is an answer to this.  Please excuse me.
Thank you for letting me vent a bit.

There is only really one chance of permanently controlling this recurrence,
and if your onc advises 3 hdr's, that's what you should do.
The hdr's usually have very little in the way of symptoms. The external beam
is what makes you tired and have diarrhoea.

Can't you ask your oncologist these questions? Don't expect to be told
everything if you don't ask...........
