I don't want cancer

Dear alt.support.cancer readers
I am a writer who has just spent two years researching a book about
the cancer situation, called 'I don't want cancer'. I am looking for
ten test readers, maybe more familiar with this field than myself, who
are interested enough to read 'I don't want cancer' and return some
feedback so that I can improve it for publishing.

It has over 28,000 words, 12 chapters or sixty A4 size pages (no
pics). It is reasonably free of jargon. Although the subject of cancer
is certainly 'a whole can of worms' this book does manage to present a
comprehensive overview of the cancer situation from wide sources.

It seemed to me when I started researching that despite billions spent
world-wide on cancer research there was relatively little to show for
it. After seeing friends and family cut down in their prime by cancer
and its treatments, I believe that there is something seriously wrong
with accepted wisdom on cancer treatment and as a result have
completed this book, which amplifies my concerns if anything.

Although I am nobody in the cancer industry, I am an educated,
independent researcher, published academic author (Macmillan) and
seeker after truth. I have no vested interest in any particular
treatment (although I personally prefer natural and holistic if
possible). However, as I am discovering, cancer is not a subject
people will normally read about, which is why I am posting this
message to you here at Google. Please email me for a free (zipped) pdf

Opportunists abound, selling useless cancer (e)books exploiting the
desperate need and emotional culpability of patients and their carers.

Don't fall for it, readers. Don't e-mail him.
If you've made the mistake of e-mailing him, block him in both your mail

I am surprised by this response in what I thought was an open
discussion group on cancer.
All I am asking for is for 10 readers to test read a new book.
I do not claim to be a specialist, only a good and honest writer who
has spent the last 2 years gathering material and writing on a subject
I feel is important. Over-specialisation is one of the present
problems with a medical system that will not integrate with other
philosophies of medicine. The few people who have read 'I don't want
cancer' say it is well written and researched.
I question your own motivation in 'banning'something you have never
read.

I believe that you got your first answer.  by your own admission, you know
nothing about the subject.  We are sufferers, who, in most cases have no idea
how we got into the predicament.  It isn't pleasant to have a doctor deliver a
death warrant to you, as you lie in a hospital bed, and it is more humiliating
to read posts like yours.  We have a problem, and share it with others.  We
don't need to be placed on a slide, to read your theories, when we cannot figure
out our own.  Please, unless you can obviously do us a great service, leave us
alone.  We have our problems, and want to share them with ourselves.

Why not post it on a website, or a binary newsgroup?

> Why not post it on a website,

it is and anyone who posts "something seriously wrong with accepted wisdom
on cancer treatment " obviously doesn't have a clue how many are cured by
"accepted wisdom on cancer treatment" and is NOT welcome here in any format
whatsoever.

1. You have already published, so why do you need reviewers prior to
publishing? Seems a bit out of order.
2. Two years gathering material is hardly enough qualifications to critique
the medical system.
3. There are an abundance of publications in circulation on the subject
already. None of which has any substance.

I am personally tired of hearing the moans from the alt-med group i.e. "no
one will listen to us." We don't listen, because your arguments ring
hollow. You have no credentials, no experience, no special skills, no
evidence, no sound logic, etc. Alt-med has no credibility because many of
you support morons like Hulda Clark, whom believes cancer is caused by
flukes and can be detected by her "electronic zapper." Must I go on to make
my point?
