Hello my names michelle ive only been on the net 4 1week.I am very happy 2
find somewhere i can to talk with others who are in the same situation as
myself. Incase any1 is intrested i 1st had my tumor back in 1997 when i was
only 23 years old. I did'nt even think when i was feeling bad back then it
could be cancer.{thats what old people get} so i thought. Anyway i had it
removed from my stomach and had chemo.I was all clear for 4years then it
returned back in my stomach again. I had it removed again then had radio. The
following year it returned again, i had it removed again this time while
operating they caught & ripped my bowel when i woke up i was in intensive
care.I did not have any treatment aftert that time as my body was too weak.
I have only been out of hospital a couple of weeks cause the cancer had come
back again. I am at least living proof that it is possible to keep bouncing
back when you keep getting knocked down.
Take care & Don't it get you down

Hi Michelle, Please to meet ya. and welcome to a newsgroup that most would
rather not belong to.
Hopefully other supporters here will soon be here to greet you.
You've sure had a time with that stomach cancer, haven't you, for someone so
young and female.
Actually, the other two here are females also (but older)
Any of the risk factors here?
http://oncologychannel.com/gastriccancer/riskfactors.shtml
race, diet, pernicious anemia, polyps etc?
What a tough thing to happen to someone just starting out in life.
Hope you heal well from the recent surgery.
Keep in touch and let us know how it's going

Hi Michelle,
Welcome to the group. There are a few here who will be able to support you
by direct personal knowledge and some of us who will be able to chat with
you from a caregiver point of view. I am of the latter group. Keep us up
to date on how you are doing, I will keep you in my thoughts. Take care for
now.
Hugs

Welcome, Michelle.
You've certainly been through the mill, haven't you. I like your

Well done Michelle for keeping such a positive attitude despite all that you
have been through, you sound like an incredible lady.
Here's hoping you keep bouncing.

Hi Michelle
You know, when I look up and see a skyfull of stars I feel that every
problem we may have here on this green earth, even ones that seem so unfair
and hurt, is somehow made tiny by the grand scheme of things. It must be
for the betterment of our soul in some unknowable way - maybe we will
understand why later.
Marc
