Hi all:
This is the fourth day after my surgery. However, the color of drainage is still quite red and pinkish. Even though the volume droped to around 60cc a day each for tube a and tube b, is it normal to have color like this. Does it mean, there is still internal bleeding. Should the nurse removes them when the volume drops down to 50 cc for two consecutive days even if the color is like this? Thanks!

Sounds normal, the color should be getting a bit lighter each day.. like cranberry juice, No it doesn't mean any internal bleeding. The standard I have seen is 30cc or less
