Customer Testimonial:
"Your CD arrived when I was in the hospital having my surgery and what
a perfect time to listen to it! The CD is truly a healing experience.
I have listened to it many times and experienced unbelievable
comfort. Thank you so much for creating a message that all of us
working through cancer can benefit and learn from in the most
unexpected ways."
Fondly,
D.S. From Dallas

Press Release:
The HealingofCancer.com website has just released an audio book of
Cancer Stories.
The Healing of Cancer, Journeys of Self-Discovery story collection
shares stories about cancer patients who find in their cancer
experience a world of challenge, hope, and renewal. Listeners have
found this CD very soothing and inspirational during treatments and
stressful times.
Diana Hunt, PhD., author of two books, was inspired in 1997 to create
this story collection when two of Dr. Hunt's close friends went
through the cancer experience.
Dr. Hunt felt that the traditional medical community missed the
emotional, spiritual aspect of the healing process. The need for
patients to heal their emotional and spiritual being compelled her to
create The Healing of Cancer, The Journeys of Self-Discovery story
collection.
"It always seemed during the healing of these individuals, there was a
missing piece, words for the soul, messages speaking to the thought,
feeling, and emotions of one with cancer. It was clear the goal of
healing had a bigger piece than just the medical "mechanical" process.
"
The Healing of Cancer, Journeys of Self-Discovery story collection can
be found at http://www.healingofcancer.com. The website also offers
information about cancer resources and bulletin boards to connect with
others.

You know what Anthony, I've been thinking about what you wrote. You know,
about this not being the place to ask for donations. Well you're right as a
matter of fact, until I was part of the "Run for the Cure" I didn't know
how few people actually cared about this disease. Now that I'm a part of
it, It's actually harder to get people to give to this cause than it is to
get people to give money to a stranger on the street. So I think you're
right, maybe just maybe everyone should stop caring about it. You know the
old saying "ignore it it'll go away". Well I don't think this is true but
if people on a breast cancer news group don't care, then why should I? My
family isn't stricken with this disease (yet). I only know my boss's wife
has the disease, I also know how much my boss loves his wife. So no
research funding means no cure, so what? After all if people in the past
didn't donate for research, they wouldn't have breast removal surgery to
stop the spread. More people would die because it would be "untreatable",
so what? My point is...We all need to get together and stop this. If you
don't want to send a cheque or money order to sponsor me for this walk,
don't. BUT don't sit on your a.s not helping, get involved make a donation
locally, find a walk(Run for the Cure) in your area and try to get donations
(good luck apparently no one cares unless it directly involves themselves).
That is why I posted here. Because I thought that at least someone visiting
this news group was actually interested in helping. My mistake. Maybe you
are really correct, and I should stop caring and drop out of this walk.
Hell if no one that might actually have the disease cares why should I?
