Hi:

I have a question stupid as it might be, I would appreciate any answers
you might have.  I just got my blood results and one of the testts for
the cancer markers went up while the other went down.  Cea opposed to ca
27 29.  So is there a reason and could stress ever have anything to do
with the results???

Thanks.

Tumor marker tests can change for differing reasons other than cancer.  I am
not sure how stress might effect  the results, but different factors can cause
each to fluctuate.  Which of your tests went up and by how much?  And how much
did the other test go down?  A change in the CEA by one point may be
significant if outside the normal range.  A change in the CA 27.29 by one point
would most likely be insignificant.

Hi Again:

Thanks for responding.

The CA27 29 went up in 6 weeks 28 points while the CEA went down.  OF
course now I am nervous and feel tired.  I prpbably am more depressed
then tired though.

Thanks for responding.
