Hello again,

does anyone know if it's ok to take IP6 during chemo (taxotere)?  I can't find
anything on this.

I have found research that indicates that enzymes are actually beneficial when
taken alongside chemo, but does anyone have anything that says different?

Many thanks.

Love,
Janet.

Hi Jan,

I don't know.

The doctors didn't want me to take anything.

Their stated purpose of chemotherapy, is to poison your body almost to
death over & over, in order to kill off the cancer.

If you do things to stay healthy during this time, then the chemotherapy
might not work, in killing off enough cancer cells.

???

At this point, I don't know enough to determine the pluses & minuses of
chemotherapy.

Hello Susan,

thankyou very much for your reply.  I know a lot of things are very
controversial during chemo and I won't enter in to anything before I've
researched it fully.  I have decided to continue with my antioxidant supplement
regime which includes 7grams of vit C, during chemo.  This too is
controversial, but after weighing up the evidence for and against, the evidence
seems to be stacked in favour of their use during chemo, whilst any ideas that
they may be contraindicated are purely theoretical (with a couple of
exceptions).

However, I can't make my mind up about the IP6 and enzymes, due to a lack of
research.  Perhaps I'm not looking in the right places, but until I know more
I'll leave them alone I think.

Many thanks for your help and I'll let you know if I find anything.

Love and best wishes.
Janet.

Inositol hexaphosphate (IP6), also known as myo-inositol hexaphosphate and phytic
acid, is a naturally occurring compound first identified in 1855. IP6 is found in
substantial amounts in whole grains, cereals, legumes, nuts, and seeds, and is the
primary energy source for the germinating plant. []

So I'd eat *real* (not grocery store processed) chow mein and chop suey :-) if I
couldn't get enough of the above foods.
