Hi, everybody:
I've been away from the site for a while and just got back on. I notice
Catherine Honeyman hasn't posted recently. Either that or I'm just missing
her name. The last I heard, she was on her way to Texas with her mom. Has
anybody heard anything? Tim? Please, tell me she's okay.

Catharine warned us that she would be offline for a few months.

After spending some time in Austin she is going to her new home on the big
island of Hawaii. She does not yet have an internet connection there. The
plan was I think to get cable, but it takes time to install. (I visualise a
team of workmen laying the cable all the way up the volcano.)

I haven't heard from her since, and in this case no news is good news, if
anything seriously untoward happened her sister would post.

In that case, I won't worry about her at this time. Let's see: she was going
to be in Hilo, right? I think they already have some lines there, so she
won't have to wait too long! ;-) Again, thanks.

Volcano Village, which according to their website (www.volcanovillage.com)
is 28 miles from (or should that be "above"?) Hilo.

Followup:

Just got an email from Catharine, writng briefly and cc'ing many
correspondents, from the public library in Hilo.
No indication when she will be online at home yet.
She did give us some basic contact details, but no cellphone coverage in her
area either.

wondering how she was doing. If you hear from her again please tell her
I said
"Hi" and hope she's doing well.
