Hello Everyone.
I'm looking for anyone with experience using Arimidex. My wife's been on it
for about 4 months, and she's started getting bone/joint aches. She did a
little reasearch, and learned that about 30% get this side effect. She's
committed to staying on it, but we're wondering if anyone uses something to
counteract this. Celebrex? Is the pain chronic once it starts, or does it
come and go?
Best Wishes to Each of You,
Scott

Hi Scott:
Bingo! I have been having this horendopus pain down my calf for a few
months on and off. Now thinking back it came after my being on arimidex
which has been since June! The docs were talking radiation as I have a
small med in the pelvis?? Gosh, maybe it is the arimidex!
Where is her pain?? Just curious.
Thanks for the info.

look - ifn yer tumor ain't hormone sensitive then y'could have mets there -
arimadex won't help in that case - go get a bone scan immediately!

Hi Scott, I have been on Arimidex for 21 mos. I began to get some joint pain
with it but started taking Celebrex. Since I started the Celebrex I no longer
have the joint/bone problems. I have another problem with my shoulder but
don't think it is in any way related to the Arimidex.

Hi Linda,
It's great to hear that the meds they're giving you are doing their job, ie
shrinking the tumours.
At least you have no pain, which is good huh?
Good luck, with the rest of your treatment for this dreadful disease.

Wife on tamoxifen and getting bad joint pain. She said a hot bath
helped. She soaked in it for 20 minutes. Also, vicodin seems to help
better than dilauded.
