Have just hear that Valerie is in hospital after a heart attack of some sort
and they are more than likely to be putting a stent in.  Will keep everyone
posted when I know more.

Hi All
Val's brother hear.
Val (balsey) is waiting to have 2 stents fitted, she has 2 blockages, 1 at
70% and 1 at 90%.
She is waiting for a new type of stent to arrive and it is hopeful that she
will be done some time this week.
Val is in good spirits and coping well.
I am more than happy to pass on any messages until she is back at the

Hi Valerie,

When I'm waiting for surgery, I try to focus on when it will all be
over, in order to keep my spirits up.

In East Texas, we're now having "monsoon" season.  My taking care of six
large puppies in the rain, mud, & wet, has proved quite an experience.
This evening & tonight, there are flash-flood & tornado warnings.  [And
some wet/soggy limbs have fallen, which I'll have to drag off tomorrow.
Life goes on.]

One good thing about hospitals, is that they're dry inside.  Hmmm.
Except in 2001 or so, when the hospitals in Houston flooded ...
As a result, they got lots of insurance money, & bought many new
machines, some of which I was tested on, in late 2001.

Am thinking of you, & sending good thoughts & best wishes.
