When I got back my last mammogram report (my first since lumpectomy 1 year
ago), the radiologist sent the message to repeat mammogram on the one side
only in 6 month 'due to the high risk for re-occurrence's.  This is the
first time I have had this term used on my bc and asked if their was
anything in the report that gave him this indication and was told 'no'.  Why
then, did this term pop up now, one year later?  Any ideas?

It's standard practice to do the treated side again at 6 months, and then at a
year you'll have both sides done and be back to a once a year schedule from
that point forward.

Technically anyone who's had bc is "high risk" for recurrence - doesn't mean
it'll happen, but the docs treat you differently for a while.
