Just thought I'd mention that Xeloda (capecitabine) seems to be the best
treatment for my wife's BC mets (mostly liver) so far. CA 15-3 down to
116 from a 271 9 weeks ago and other numbers mostly improving.Reducing
the dose from 2-500mg pills after breakfast and dinner from 3 has
reduced hand-foot problems to more manageable level without (apparently)
seriously impacting effectiveness. Onc says some patients find it
effective for "a year or two." She's feeling and looking much better!
Hair even growing back.

Strange how perspective makes the side effects of this drug seem almost
desirable, compared to those of IV Taxol and Gemzar (with Faslodex being
wholly ineffective).

This is good news, Steve -- glad to hear the treatment's beating back the
tumor activity.   And thanks for letting us know!

Sending hopes that the effective period will be
