I've had my 6 wk prosthesis fitting in hospital and the one I've got is
Trulife Harmony Plus Tri  402-04. That fits me perfectly. (I'm bra size 34B)

Can someone translate that 402 - 04 size into what size I need from, say,
Nicola Jane products as I want to buy some prosthesis for my swimming
costume. I've already returned sizes 6, 5 and 4 prosthesis to Nicola Jane.
Sizes 6 and 5 were too big and size 4 was too small.

These sizes confuzzle me!

You could try telephoning their customer service department.  The number
is on the web-site and they're extremely helpful.

I did that Grace. Before ordering 6, and after returning 5. Then after
returning 4 I gave up and got a refund.

I'm now desperate to order online so need to get it sorted. I'm getting fed
up of going to the Post office.

Could you maybe try another style of form.  I had to try multiple ones
before I found the type that "fit right".

I took my hospital prosthesis into a local department store and they only
had two bras in 34B. When you say try another style of form, what do you
mean? Another shape? I just want to order more prostheses (for swimming etc)
online, but I don't know what size I want. What does size 402-04 actually
mean?

Yes, I meant another shape maybe.  I had to try multiple shapes to get the
"look" that I was used to.  Some forms, even though they were my size had
too much projection and actually looked bigger than my size.  The form that
I finally settled on is a size smaller than my original size but is shaped
more like I was.  The same form in my original size was way too big.  If I
haven't completely confused you that's good.

Boy, my head is spinning--you make me glad I got an implant.  But Tammy, I
thought you were going to have a DIEP flap done.  Are you on a waiting list,
or what?

Oh - long story.  I wanted to have Dr. Alan from the Breast Reconstruction
Center.  However, he doesn't accept my insurance.  My insurance company
won't make an exception for me for this procedure so I would have to put up
$11,000 up front for the surgery.  I  met with the surgeon who does the
procedure here at the Medical Center where I go.  The surgery here takes  12
hours vs 6 hours with Dr. Alan for a bilat.  Patient's have been discharged
as soon as 4 days from Dr. Alan but here it is 7 days in the hospital.  She
didn't have any pictures of any patients and promised to get them to me but
so far hasn't, I should call her back.  Then I went and broke my arm in June
and have been out of work for 10 weeks now.  I don't see how I will be able
to request 6 more weeks off as the Dr. here has strict restrictions on going
back to work, even no driving for 6 weeks.  So...I'm still wearing my forms
:(
