Well, anyone who considers a pool of 40 a study needs help. And for the fact
that studies and statistics are manipulated is no surprise. And that goes
towards either of the sides. As far as implants go, it is an invasive
procedure and problems should be expected, but to say that they cause cancer
is unsubstantiated. I agree with correlation, but not causation.

Oh, the infamous Linda Cook study. Some of those "conclusions" were
based on 21 phone calls. At the time, I wondered if the call center
had called a sorority house. A higher weight was given by her to those
who had more than 9 lifetime sex partners as those women who had less
than 4. Thing is, the same amount of women responded to both
questions. Wonder how many "studies" on men have been done where they
asked the number of their life-time sexual partners. If they did, they
could definitely prove sex causes zits.
My daughter worked at a call center where these "medical studies" were
being done by phone. The call center was working from a list of names,
derived from a patient data base provided by doctors. It was
impossible to know if the person on the other end was who they said
they were or if they had the medical problems they claimed.
As for the equally infamous Harvard study. Bought and paid for. By
checking the questions that have been posted online and reading the
chronology of what was asked when, it is impossible to tell how they
could have drawn the conclusions they did. Except for one thing. The
check was in the bank.
Dr. Louise Brinton established the causation between breast implants
and brain and lung cancer. However, the medical profession chooses to
ignore that and pass along to women the conclusion Dr. Brinton had that
breast implants do not cause an increase in breast cancer. They know
if they tell patients the truth about the brain and lung connections,
they would be a lot poorer bunch of doctors. Sorry, I would rather
have the breast cancer again any day over losing my life to brain
cancer or losing a lung to lung cancer.
