Hello,
I had posted earlier about my cousins wife (37) who was just diagnosed
and was to start treatment with Taxol and carboplatin, along with
Herceptin.
She had her first chemo last Tuesday; and within a couple of days she
started feelign very uncomfortable, she said. with severe headache and
body pain. Seems she is even unable to eat a lot of solid food; and is
eatin more of liquids. Is that a common reaction?
Listening to her is hard; cos she reminds me too much of the tortorous
journey mummy just went through; which didnt even end happily.
Wish cancer were a person; whom I could shake hard; and say "enough,
you have had more than your pound of flesh already, just leave everyone
alone"..
sorry for the rambling :)
cheers,
Jayu

Hi Jayu
I don't know if this is a normal reaction to this but I would think
not. I can only go on my experience after FEC-100 and they can really
manage nausea very well these days. Was she given anti-nausea pills?
Some may cause a headache and I was told just to take tylenol or
similar for that. If I was her I would get back to my oncologist
straight away and get to the bottom of it. It could be very easily
treated and the sooner it's discussed the better,
Good luck
