Just popping in briefly to say my daughter has a tentative hold on a three
bedroom rental in Boca Raton. We will be leaving again in a few days to try
to secure it and check out what we will need. It is kinda difficult to do
this from Ohio, but it will get done some how. The last trip we spent some
time at Vero beach. My other daughter, who lives in Orlando, rented a house
on the beach, we spent much time there and it was fun. I had not seen her
since my husbands funeral.
So Susan, the daughter, who has had cancer, and I are working toward the
goal of her living in this new chosen place, and my spending the winters
down there.
The one bad news is that my niece Marilyn will not make it to the graduation
and the wedding of her children. She is in a hospital bed, no longer
recognizes anyone, and now has hospice in her home.
The other bad news is that another niece (52) suddenly had a swollen
stomach and the fluid aspiration was cancer. The follow up indicating
genetic type stage three, and surgery was performed with many organs
removed. They did leave her urinary bladder. I am not sure what therapy
will be prescribed or accepted. She is devastated and still in the shock
stage.
I have to believe the rate of cancers in the world has increased.
My best to all who read, and especially to those who have cancer - and
their caregivers.

Great to hear from you and happy mother's day, sorry to hear about your
relatives. We enjoy going to Florida's Treasure Coast, would like to go to
see if any hurricane damage is left. Alex

It is still beautiful! The resort areas are quickly repairing roofs, siding
and adding new carpets where flooding happened. They lost a lot of the sand
beach, but they are afraid to bring in more sand now because it might
confuse the turtles who will soon be crawling up the beach to lay their
eggs.
Happy Mothers Day to you also, Alex and all the mothers here.
