and here I was delighted to just find this group again. My new ISP
does not do newsgroups, so that kind of limits my choices to something
that does not come into my email box. After 2 1/2 years of good
mammograms (I was able to survive BARELY, without it....then I got a
stumper again so I went looking for my old pals). I just happen to
find you at Google and they do send me a summary of new posts each
morning. (Was wondering if Kaye could do it this way.)
I check in tomorrow afternoon for another biopsy, sure hoping that the
microcalcifications are not the beginning of a recurrence--guess I'll
know soon. It is nice to see all of the familiar names and I'm hoping
to see that more of you are still around.
I'll post again when I know more,

Good luck with that. Hope it's good news.

http://news.individual.net/ - newserver costs the equivalent of
$15.00/year
news.individual.net helps the user if there's difficulties with settings.

I don't know what you mean, sounds kind of "outlook express-y".
Is that what you're using for your email?
You can use it for newsgroups too.
Maybe the messages do come in your inbox (I don't know),
But you can set your settings to delete after reading and filter out
posters, like me or Dr.Harmon or anyone else's message that you do not
want to see.
You can "munge" your (posting) email address, if you don't want emails or
spam.

After all, you're letting Google into your inbox. They provide your info
to advertisers..(and/or vice versa).
I'm getting complex here, but some web pages keep cookies and some
indicate NGUSERID so it's our conclusion that a communcation is happening
between certain webpages and Google, so Google grears their advertising to
each reader. I don't read those adverts, on the right side of your Google
screen. Others may.
Using Google, in order to show quoted text in your replies, one must first
click on the box called "show quoted text"

Guess you saw my instructions for Kaye?
She could, but as I said, it's klutsy.
The one good thing about Google, is that it can be accessed remotely; when
travelling, in hospital (if there's a computer there) and from work, if a
person has internet access etc.
