What are the benefits of a compression test versus an ultrasound test?
I'm wondering why I had to have both.

My mother recently underwent a lumpectomy and just finished radiation
therapy.  Now we are working on a lump on MY breast :-(

Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear about your mom. A compression test - I think you are referring
to is a mammogram which is the first step. It can help the ultrasound where
to focus on. Wishing you the best. Alex

Thanks.

No, it was a test where I lied on a table and a machine came down and
compressed the breast.  It was AFTER I had already had a mammogram.
Does that makes sense?
