What are you supposed to do with it?

Hydrgen peroxide has disinfectant properties but cancer isn't a bacterium.

For what it's worth, at least 20 yrs ago when I was in graphic arts I
knew some gay men who used to drink hydrogen peroxide, with water,
several times a day in the belief that it would prevent AIDS.

First I'll appologize for not being able to copy Mary's query to my
above post. WebTV will either do something or it won't...I'm going to
try to attach it below.

Mary's one word query "And?".

Actually, I have no idea but since I never heard any other person or
clinic  say anything about it, I would guess "No". I was a freelancer
then, before computers did everything, so I kinda bounce around. Those
were the days.....

(Nope, no option popped up to attached the post I'm replying to.)

Prevent AIDS?  Not likely.  Although there might be something to that
if instead of swallowing the peroxide they used it as an enema.

Suppositories re called rockets in our family - only used once on a boy who
was about ten, he's now about 40 but the term has stuck. Nothing else did,
it worked :-)

Hugs to both,

No, tell us more.

I heard a doctor on the radio talk about 4 oz swallowed twice a week will
prevent cancer and possibly cure some types of cancer because it pumps more
oxygen through the body and cancer cannot live in an oxygen rich
environment. Not saying to do this or it is true, just what I heard. Anyone
else heard of such a thing? Looking it up on the internet, i have found
mixed reviews.

In its undiluted form (used for hair bleach) if you try to swallow it, it
will burn your mouth.

In its diluted form, as Mary says, it's a topical antibacterial treatment.
If you want more oxygen you probably ought to inhale oxygen! (My opinion
FWIW)

Using hydrogen peroxide to treat cancer is among the "alternative medicine"
battery of nonsense.  Here is an American Cancer Society view:

"After studying the literature and other available information, the American
Cancer Society has found no evidence that treatment with hydrogen peroxide
or other 'hyperoxygenating' compounds is safe or results in objective
benefit in the treatment of cancer. Lacking such evidence, the American
Cancer Society strongly urges individuals with cancer not to seek such
treatment."

It's up there with shark cartilage, altho' it does have the advantage that
no sharks are killed in the process.

Oh that's OK then - I'll order a few pints.
