I got an email from Kaye, who can't access tthe group from AOL using her mac. She is overall doing well, having many of the same HMO issues, back to work full time and her family is doing well. She  wants to send her regards to all...Alex

Download and install Mozilla  (for Mac)  here
http://www.mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/
Subscribe to http://news.individual.net/
Use/write down the settings there under Configuration for Netscape
http://news.individual.net/configuration/netscape61_en.html
Open Mozilla, Email
http://news.individual.net/configuration/netscape61_en.html skip the email
part, and use the Newsgroup settings
or  follow these steps
http://www.oit.umass.edu/umail/software/confignews/mac_ns7.html but enter
"news.individual.net" in the newsgroup/server settings

If she can get past the install of mozilla and registering at
news.individual.net, but problems:

I am registered, but I am having problems accessing the newsserver. (I
hear that they are helpful)
Who can I turn to?
  Send your questions to "news@individual.net".
Please describe your problem as exactly as possible, and include all
relevant information that is at your disposal on your system.
You will make it easier for us, if you tell us your User ID. How can I
find out what my User ID is?
   * You received your User ID together with the rest of your account
data for our server (marked as "generally not required" or "please include
in any support request").

or Thunderbird for Mac here http://www.mozilla.org/download.html Tim uses
Thunderbird for Windows
Mozilla includes email/newsgroup and browser
Thunderbird is email and newsgroup (but she would use AOL email ..and decide
whether she continues to browse internet with AOL or also want to use Mozilla
to browse or just Thunderbird for newsgroups)

" You can continue to use AOL as your mail program.

To post & read messages, Dial in to AOL then minimize (don't close) the
AOL program, open your newsreader & here you are.
