Hi All,
Had a bone scan recently - no new visible "hot spots" since September scan.
Original one on iliac a bit larger. Anyone else getting all sorts of phony
cancer cure spams - suspect they pickup from this NG?

Good news :-)

I don't know because I don't open anything I don't recognise, everything is
deleted. Some is deleted which IS recognised.  Because my addy is genuine
(it needs to be) I'm prone to15 - 20 a day but it's no big deal. It's just
like chucking away the stuff which comes through the letter box inviting me
to have a loan or a credit card or insurance or ...

But there have been some ON this ng and not only for snake oil <G>

I don't see many.  Thunderbird deletes about 60-100 emails a day for me
un-downloaded that I don't see more than a quick flash of the header.
That why I have an advocacy line for it in my sig.

Most of it seems to be in roughly equal proportions a) porn, b) pharmacy
and c) in Chinese or Korean and unreadable.  But many of headers give no
indication of the content.

Some of that spam results from exposing my email address on this ng for
many years.  I also know some results from having shown my email address
on internet dating dating sites.

How do you know if you don't see it? ;-)

It quarantines them for several days, so I can look at the headers if I
want to, or if I think it might have junked something important, like if
I am expecting a mail from someone who's email address I don't know.

Right. I simply dump anything I don't recognise or am not expecting, then
empty the deleted items folder. I can't be bothered double checking. If I've
missed anything important, tough! It's like people telephoning when we're
out and haven't left the machine on. If it's important they'll try again.

How's that for vanity? :-)

I am slowly converting over too thunderbird, I am using Foxfire as my
primary browser. I had a few issues with thunderbird but it does have a
great filter.

Any dates from the internet dating? Alex

Yes, but nearly all interest from abroad, which gets expensive.  Odd that.

The Thunderbird pre-release had a few problems, but even that seemed
preferable to OE.  Since 1.0 came out I've had no problems.

<Warning American slang joke>

And from whom would you wish interest, if not from a broad?

Someone had to ask.

Let's not go there, I could offer several alternative snappy answers to
that one.

Since you ask, I'm currently "courting" (in the internet sense) a lady
in Kenya, with two children around Natasha's age.  She organised us a
terrific safari holiday in the Masai Mara at Christmas, and is now
awaiting visas to come here.

It's a slow process.

Ah! So you've gone public <G>

I'm very pleased :-)))))

That's the best way, I believe.
