When does one "feel" it?

I am a bit confused and my research doesn't really answer my question and
neither does my onc. I am Stage 1V with one visible bone met on my Iliac -
taking Femara since October as well as Zometa monthly. I do not feel any
different than before the DX except a"waiting for the other shoe to drop"
feeling. When does one begin feeling sick ("the other shoe")? I also have
had arthritis for years and 400mg of Motrin a day solves that problem.
Thanks for any input.

Usually the first symptom of bone mets is an arthritis-like pain.
Sometimes it is a fracture.  The iliac is a fairly big bone with a lot
of non-bearing surface, so it is possible it can go for quite a time
without symptoms.  It is also possible that initial symptoms may be
masked by your arthritis.

If the cancer is growing slowly and being constrained by hormone therapy
it could be at least a year or two before you notice anything.

Thanks Tim,
I guess I will have to work harder on shaking this "waiting" feeling.
