the daughter of a dear friend is about to undergo surgery and chemo. I want
to help by making meals for her young family as well as the mom having the
surgery (so they can eat togehter if possible). Any and all suggestions as
to what is tasty and healthy would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

At our FAQ at www.cancersupporters.com there is a "useful list" for
chemo patients.  This might contain some clues.

OMG thank you for posting that link!  I just read about "doubling".
I've had a very trying time in my marriage - very, very trying.  So
many bad things.  Since I got married I've been diagnosed with sleep
apnea, hypertension, depression, and then cancer.

I kept thinking about how the mammagram I had just before I married was
clear as a bell.  And yep I kept thinking about how they say stress can
contribute to cancer - and my marriage has had great goo gobs of
stress.

According to the doubling information, if the cancer I had was
"normal", then it was possible for it to be just below detectable size
at the time of my mammagram and have grown to the size it was when I
found it.

Sure there is the possibility that it started later and grew extra fast
due to the stress of my marriage.  But I don't find that very likely.
Even if the stress had an effect on it, the odds are still good that
the cancer was there when I got married.

It's good to know that my marriage didn't cause my cancer.  It's good
to know that my husband didn't cause my cancer.

Take care,
Melody
