The taxanes (e.g., Taxotere) are known to produce some peripheral
neuropathy. Check out

for one person's research into this problem and possible ways to
alleviate it.

For some people, L-Glutamine, available over the counter and at health
stores, at about a gram a day has helped with PN.

Hi,

I'm Karyn in Florida and I just finished the last of 12 weekly
treatments with Taxol on Jan 26th. I experienced peripheral neuropathy
... tingling and numbness in my fingers and feet. I have recently
regained sensation in my fingers again, but still have some numbness in
my left foot which continues to improve. I was advised by my oncologist
to take B-6 tablets twice a day and Glutamine. I guess it helped prevent
permanent nerve damage.

I wish the best to all of you!
