My daughter who was diagnosed in 2003, has been following this research very
closely.
She tells me that some high risk cases are now being treated with this
experimental vaccine.
She goes every month for blood draws and injections and feels very
vulnerable because of the Her2neu initial diagnoses.
She also works for a large research company that enables her to get current
information.
The clinical trials will take a while, and it will be a while before any
would be approved and available for the general population. My daughter
said she would be glad to be in a clinical trial of ths product...ep

If I was eligible for a clinical trial I would sign up for it, I think you
have plenty to gain, Alex

I would urge anyone who is eligible to be in the clinical trial of this
vaccine as it is available. I was in a clinical trial for a different
type of cancer vaccine and aside from the initial stuff (paperwork,
testing, biopsy to get the cells to make the vaccine), the vaccine
itself is just a shot. It is easy and, hopefully, something that will
really help you and the rest of us. I would be glad to share more about
my own experience if that is helpful, but again, as I mentioned in an
earlier post, when there is a clinical trial, the coordinator will be a
fountain of information as well both in regards to qualifying criteria
and study requirements.
