Hello in there.
A quick update on my situation: I've had a bone scintigraphy done
which turned out negative, and the final staging was infiltrating
ductal carcinoma, T2 (2,5 cm diameter) N0 (sentinel) M0, G3, negative
for hormonal receptors, negative for c-erb2/neu.
I'm starting chemo on the 26th, 4 cycles of epirubicin/ciclofosfamide
followed by 3 cycles of CMF2. Radiotherapy is planned towards the end
of the chemo.
There was an experiment trial going on, but I didn't qualify for that.
The onc said that the protocol for my situation is well-established
and effective, but I'm a little worried because of my age <35.
I also feel that chemo is starting a tad late (I had a quadrant on the
14th of October), isn't there a deadline that it shouldn't be more
than 1 month after surgery?

All the best and TIA,
Bonehammer

It's not really critical how quickly you start chemo, especially if the
original tumour was not very advanced (as indicated by node biopsy).

On the one hand you want the surgery to have healed, as chemo tends to
inhibit the healing process, on the other hand you don't want to wait
too many division cycles before starting, and so allow any
micrometastases to establish themselves as tumours.  So a month is a
good target, as that is a typical division interval for breast cancer
cells, but it isn't by any means a deadline.
