Tonight I had a surprise visit from a fellow surgical bc patient from six
years ago. We're both still going well with no apparent problems.

I did as I was told and took whatever pills were prescribed (ATAC program so
I don't know if it was Arimidex, Tamoxifen or both), she refused to take
anything.

As I say, we're both thriving.

But two people prove nothing :-)

Do you know what factors entered into your friend's decision against
post-op therapy?

She didn't want to take hormones or hormone substitutes or replacements or -
well, anything to do with hormones :-)

could be nothing, nobody is exactly the same.( disease, age, heredity, etc)
glad you are both doing well.

That, I suppose was my point in posting. So many people ask what to expect
when they're diagnosed, no-one can be 100% sure.
