Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has had this procedure done. I have bone mets on the femur head (hip joint) ..my oncologist is suggesting radiation for this area ..( I am currently on Chemo treatments) it has gotten worse over time since now I have to depend on a walker & a wheelchair to move about. I would appreciate any input or advice. I don't have any info re cyberknife--although have done some research on it through google which I am sure you have done, too. Is your onc recommending cyberknife or are you going to ask him if that would be indicated in your case? Thanks for replying, Kaye..this is my choice..my onc. has no knowlegde of this treatment. Just the thought of having radiation in that area makes me uncomfortable.....I already had radiation after my mastectomy..(left breast) and my cancer recurred there. Yes I have done some research...I just wondered if anyone here had that experience. I will post some questions on Cyberknife's boards..I just felt more at ease inquiring here, first. Sunny, I had Cyberknife done on a spot on my spine. It was very painless and it was successful. It doesn't help to get rid of the cancer and spreading in your body, but does work for "spots". Also, where did you have it done? It showed up in a PET scan and MRI. I don't remember the exact size, but I know it wasn't big. I had the procedure done in Boulder, Colorado. I live in the Denver area, and was lucky that they have this procedure available so close.
