I'm writing an article about Femara. Your experience? pros and cons? What
have you done to boost your immune system? Thanks very much.

Femara worked very well on my liver mets for about a year.  Then my
tumor marker started creeping up again.  So I switched to Aromasin and
it is coming back down. It was time to get off Femara anyway.  It was
affecting quality of life.  My hands and feet were very stiff and sore.
Then my knees became involved affecting walking.  It was becoming quite
debilitating.  I am much better now and more active.

I have had no side effects with Femara that I'm aware of (I'm heading into
year 3 on it now). It's just another pill in the pile for the morning
gulp-down! But it makes me FEEL like I am fighting against a recurrence and
that's worth something; quite a bit really.

I did have a bout with sore joints and just about everything hurt end of
2003, but it turned out to be Red Dye #40 in a new vitamin from Wal-Mart I
was trying (50+). Stopped it, feel good now, still on Femara.
