Ozone - a personal experience

Ted Edwards - 18 Feb 2005 19:35 GMT I have COPD. I do a fair amount of (hobby) metalwork. I have a TIG welder and a plasma cutter. _ALL_ electric discharges produce ozone, some more than others but all do. I have a U.S. Safety mask with dust and activated charcoal filters. This has served me well for several years but four days ago my breathing was rather poor after a welding session. The following day I did more welding and my breathing was worse. (Determined by both how I felt and PEF readings.) I dismantled my mask, thoroughly washed all parts and replaced the filters with fresh ones. Two days ago and yesterday, more welding and no breathing problems.
Take heed! _ANY_ ozone producing device has no place around any unprotected asthmatic or COPD sufferer. Those who sell them with glowing reports of how effective they are are not lying. They are very effective at slowly, or not so slowly, killing you.
Ted
Joe - 18 Feb 2005 21:21 GMT Ted I Agree...
I say Do not purchase any Ozone Generators..... Go to
http://www.epa.gov/airnow/ http://www.airshare.info/index.cfm/news.1164.html http://www.epa.gov/iaq/pubs/ozonegen.html and read
if you need FTC (federal trade Commission) and lawsuits against those companies claiming "Ozone generators are safe" links, I can provide that too.

I am wondering if it normally omitted ozone too? Anyone familiar with these things. After the epa I think says its dangerous, who is still selling them? Thanks steve

electrostatic.... actually does emit a small amount of OZONE....per government studies
CPSC test confirmed it too

Second, you're right about ozone. I've been crusading against the use of ozone-producing air cleaners for years. They are especially bad for persons with respiratory problems.
Joe - 19 Feb 2005 18:38 GMT First Ozone generators are NOT air cleaners:
second I provide the web site www.ebayelk.com because:
#1. there are money gouging people out there that sell the same product technology and prey on people who need it most. (us)........I used to work for a Medical supply company they just triple the amount on dealer cost because (medical supply knows you need it and cannot do without it) why do think social security has a problem most of are from the medical supply companies.......believe me I KNOW I have charged outrageous rates because I have (to keep my JOB) #2. because I personally know that a lot of people that have health problems are money Strapped. #3. this is America: not China, not CUBA not Russia ....I can say whatever I want without you dictating what cannot be posted or not (if you find the rules let me know) #4. I despise Bullies.
see those walkers......$150.00 bucks to get it....sell price $300.00 (estimate)
think about this....if I posted....Hey I have this www.drugssss.com based in the US we have a contract with drug company X and can save you 75% off your regular inhaler/nebulizer spendings. just send us your Doctors $$$$ prescription....
will you boot me out or not........? ...........see the point.......you guys are full of contempt that you forgot and are blinded...........the other reason was Money savings....
but then again ....you are an American you are entitled to free speech......
you can hang a person then later say ooooops.....wrong guy.........but then you just hurt your other way out
>> There is still a lot of companies out there misleading customers/patients >> into believing Ozone is Good.....check the famous online bid ....you will [quoted text clipped - 9 lines] > ozone-producing air cleaners for years. Joy - 19 Feb 2005 18:50 GMT > but then again ....you are an American you are entitled to free speech...... > > you can hang a person then later say ooooops.....wrong guy.........but then > you just hurt your other way out But the point is, NONE of us get any MONEY from the drug companies when talking about them on the newsgroup. We discuss all aspects including the side effects. So you're like, way off base. You on the other hand do benefit from peddling your wares on the newsgroup (if you are in fact successful). When you are lost in the wave of peddlers, you will soon enough conclude that no useful information is available amidst all the "claims" on the NG, and then you too will find yourself asking the peddlers to leave. How have you not noticed the complaints? At least 5 people have asked you to stop.
AND, that we must like taking drugs accusation is the MOST commonly used, totally off base, ridiculous, irrational, irritating, (where is my Thesaurus) way to get yourself rejected (quite frankly) by the members of the group. Why do you want to be so counterproductive?
Joy
Joe - 19 Feb 2005 21:41 GMT then do not be an oxymoron
and try an alternative......you are pushing different type of drugs making yourself a unofficial representative..
there is a membership in the News Group? wow!
Some Way-OFF base solutions Work.....something you never dreamed off....
you will soon enough conclude
> that no useful information is available amidst all the "claims" on the NG, > ...........so your claims are useful pushing chemicals......... well are you not a peddler too ...you are peddling your claims? that your Drug works......
so five people now own the newsgroup?
you guys are being counterproductive........you guys are so stuck in a paradigm you are afraid of new solutions.......
wake up.....there is Burger joint around the corner.......try it you might like the fresh scent of purified air
I am not afraid of rejection........have you noticed it builds more character...to pursue the truth
complaints to who.....who is the moderator again?
counterproductive? as in radical solution............chemical use or non-chemical use?
>> but then again ....you are an American you are entitled to free > speech...... [quoted text clipped - 19 lines] > > Joy Joy - 19 Feb 2005 22:31 GMT I am applying the ultimate solution.
Joe - 19 Feb 2005 23:13 GMT solution which is??????
>I am applying the ultimate solution. ARoberts - 20 Feb 2005 00:34 GMT > then do not be an oxymoron If you're going to use this word this often, then you should probably understand what it means and how to use it. It does not refer to people, but to contradictory terms of speech.

ARoberts - 19 Feb 2005 19:54 GMT > First Ozone generators are NOT air cleaners: > [quoted text clipped - 13 lines] > rules let me know) > #4. I despise Bullies. Then why are you bullying your way in here? That's what you've been doing--attempting to flood a medical support group for your own financial gain. I doubt that there are specific rules about not selling in a church either, but do think that you be welcome in doing so?
Yeah, you're a real American, all right.
Who cares what you despise...you're beneath contempt.
Joe - 19 Feb 2005 22:10 GMT well Medical support group?
UV airPurifier is medically certified by the FDA and is in use by most hospitals and is a Medical equipment.....
Financial gain.........to save the cash strapped people from being gouged by other vendors...by the hundreds of dollars...... :-)
Who cares what you despise...you're beneath contempt..........
well you care...don't you love someone who can stand up to your Kills files.
you're beneath contempt..............
now ...now do not drag me to your level.....way above your level......to be pushed away
not bullying my way ......just defending my way.....you tried to bully.....I am standing my ground........kill files..... teehee
now talking about church..you guys got all brainwashed.....Now you are really Blinded..........How do all the Priest acquire all the gold and wealth......and still pretending they are poor and in need of donations.....why are they talking beautiful vacations in the tropics......Please do your research how they acquired wealth...
find out really what is behind the scenes....where does the church contribution go what is the percentage.......Church is another BIG company..........hiding under our greatest fear God well that is another topic...please do your research here too ...you will be amazed Christianity is a big murderous Group........tsk tsk .......I am Catholic.....a branch of Christianity........go find the last Writings of Jesus.....Good Luck........Scholars Deciphered it and acknowledge it was Jesus Last Written words.........
But the Church does not acknowledge it.......why.? it involves money? I am not going to tell you the answer....you have to research it
now going back......... I doubt that there are specific rules about not selling in a church
> either, but do think that you be welcome in doing so? if it makes money for the church....yes I can sell in Church......darn it...please do your research...to much talk No way to back up you jibby-jabber....research....

EPA did try to stop the sale of those air cleaners, but some Federal Judge threw the case out. Joy
Joe - 19 Feb 2005 07:18 GMT is that why the FTC has a lot of cases against them and won.....
search under FTC and find out you will be amazed....

I am probably going to be accused of being lazy, but usually someone who has seen an article of interest will post a link because internet searches take time, and it isn't my pet project.
Joy
Joe - 19 Feb 2005 18:41 GMT so you are saying you want me to post a ToN of pages in the NewsGroup.....doesn't that violate the rules and boundary of SPAM
?????

I said links, right?
Joe - 19 Feb 2005 19:23 GMT did I say pages yes a Ton of pages of "Links" (about 221 results found) in 1 variation
I would give you Links.....but you have condemned me already to your eternal hell (not there yet)....c'mon you have the time to condemn.... find the time to search...it is not hard under the www.FTC.gov search just put OZONE and Variations.....by the way FTC stands for Federal Trade Commission.
by the way my Boss does not own that FTC domain......and we are not selling any products there.....so it is okay to post the web right....since owning is different from not owning it.
If you say "please give me some Links"...... why Not I will
I do not respond very well with "kumander commie"......."GOD BLESS AMERICA" indeed
>> so you are saying you want me to post a ToN of pages in the >> NewsGroup.....doesn't that violate the rules and boundary of SPAM > > No, 3 or 4 good links would be great. I said links, right? Joy - 19 Feb 2005 19:39 GMT I have little doubt that I could find LOTS of articles. I am not interested in quantity of information. That was not the point. I asked for the best of the ones you have read. I was aware of the FTC since my husband is a Senior Scientist for the CDC. Forget it.
Joy

Joe - 19 Feb 2005 22:21 GMT you have doubt.......CDC is another Branch of the Government....FTC and CDC rarely Talks.....no connection at all.......
Since your husband is senior Scientist.....then ask him the benefits of UV airpurifier and find out how many microbes it destroys..hint 100% ..ask him why it is recommended by FEMA and the FBI and CIA and The US Army....and used by the UN, FAA to name a few......CDC is one of the branches that endorsed UV airPurifier and they use it in their Labs too..
too much yappin..and still push Drugs....

I am not sure I talk much to very many Govt agencies, but I know what they do. Tell me why they have to talk to know about each others existence.
Joe - 19 Feb 2005 23:11 GMT well....what happened to the twin towers......"Bless All the Souls"
the Government Agencies were not talking.......they could have stopped it....
oh they know each other exist.......but do they compare notes..........
now we have the Department of Homeland Security...........now everybody talks.....but there is that minute info that sometimes slip thru the cracks........and then a cover-up....then that blaming game starts.....
well Not so sure about CDC and FTC........"what trading diseases"
well you connected FTC to CDC when you brought up your Husband
I quote "was aware of the FTC since my husband is a Senior Scientist for the CDC"
................... .:-)

Get a dictionary,
An oxymoron is not "a fool"
In your original post you used the word "decimate" - you were thus claiming your device was only 90% efficient.
... oops, make that three points then.
Pete
[PLONK]

Verb ...just in-case ( your definition it is the one you see in movie rental places.....Drama, "Action", comedy etc...).....so basically you would say (may I know where the "verb movies" are?)

your definition of Head ......A55
