link with Asthma and skin problems

Is there a link between Asthma and skin problems? I read somewhere
there was. I frequently get dry skin on  my hands.

Yes.

Asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, and atopic dermatitis
("the itch that rashes") are all closely relayed.
