I noticed lately that my asthma tends to be worse when I lie down on
my left
side. Breathing gets more difficult and after several minutes of
trying to
sleep I end up having to use the asthma puffer to clear to lungs.

So I always try to sleep on my right. I see nothing different on one
side of
the bed then the other - both have the same kind of bedroom scent.
So I don't know why there is more asthma on my left.

I Also noted that if I've eaten something not long before going to
bed, the
food does get digested easier if I lie on my right.

Does this mean the human body functions better when gravity pulls on
the right side only? Or is it a different side for each of us?

While lying right side down, the stomach contents are assisted by
gravity to move through into the small intestine, as the opening of
the stomach into the small intestine is on the right side.

As for your lungs, it is probably more an individual experience as to
which side down is more comfortable, as it typically is with sinus
drainage as well.
