Anyone know whether atrovent's side effects might kick up the symptoms
of a duodenal ulcer, or acid reflux?
Thanks,
Mike

I try to never say never but it would be a new on me if it did.

I hope you get more responses because I never thought of that and I have
developed both conditions.

I responded through google a while ago (this morning or last
night) but it hasn't appeared.
Basically, I would never say never but it is not something I
have heard of..

If you're using Atrovent (ipratropium)in your n e b u l i z e r be
sure to keep your eyes closed. Both cataracts and glaucoma are more
than just possible side effects from the prolonged and daily exposure to
Atrovent mist .
I always use a few Artificial Tears after a nebulizer treatment.
(Anyone using Atrovent either way does well to keep tears on hand for
dry eyes)
And BTW, You can nebulize some of the Atrovent and albuterol up your
nose. Sure cleans out my sinuses. Just keep your eyes closed. ---Jack

If enough is delivered it should work. They do market an
Atrovent nasal spray but I am too lazy to calculate the
relative doses.

I am not sure about your question but I know acid reflux can work hand
in hand in treating asthma. Treat both and both improve.
