Any females using their asthma medications notice that their hair is
splitting or breaking off a little?

Or does this happen when you are in your late fifties and early 60's
and this goes with getting older?

I've noticed more hair in my hairbrush and seems like the sides of my
head near the ears is shorter. The rest of the hair is still thick,
but I see little more hairs in the hairbrush.

Hi....

I have problems with my hair breaking, and it is much more thin and fine
than it use to be before i started taking Asthma meds again back in 96.

Your not alone....

4 years ago I started taking Flovent and Serevent and later was
switched to Advair. From the beginning my hair started to thin,
come out,  or break.  I seem to have half the hair I used to have.
Always had a FULL volume of hair.  I've tried to discover the cause
but can only come up with the steroid as the cause. If anyone
has any remedies (other than non-use, not an option) -- I would
love to hear them.  Also, now have a very dry scalp and I have
tried everything for that  but it doesn't help the hair thinning.
I have never had an asthma "attack" just breathing problems.
