If someone knows more about this subject please get back. There are so many
options about why the air in my house is aggravating my asthma. I have
narrowed it down to 3 possible conditions, comments welcome. Ducts: Had them
cleaned but there were some areas you could tell the brush didn't reach. 2,
I am thinking maybe the blower motor is dirty. 3. Maybe the whole system
needs replacing..The other option is could be radon. I am going to get a
test kit from Home depot although I realize I can't smell rado. Please any
other suggestions.  Could the mixture of the gas level be causing my
problem?  Most city contractors don't have a clue or they have a clue but
they don't know where to turn, Any suggestions? Its like I smell dust or
something not good all the time.  Please contact me er211trs@yahoo.com , or
reply to message on group message board , thanks.

Radon is an odorless and colorless gas that has no effect on asthma.
Unless your home is sited very near bedrock, a radon detector is a
waste of money.

BTW, have you had allergy testing?

Hi,
Someone here talked about Hvac systems before but my mind was to engaged
with asthma to think much. Someone said allot of money and I didn't or
couldn't persue it.. Anyway I did get tested and I am  highly allergic.
Whats really weird, and I now know I have to call a plumber is I used rid it
on my septic tank. You know the stuff they advertise? And the smell and
reaction has gotten a bit better. Slowly I pray there is more a connection
to plumbing? You see where the water and gas lines junt into my pavement,
the plumber has not been able to get to. He said he has to excavate the
cement and bulid up the lines, somehow the valves got bent or something and
in order to fix leaks in home that has to be done. Meanwhile my faucet in
kitchen has built up of gonk  and my toilet backed. Plumber fixed the toilet
but did not know what caused the gunk on kitchen faucet. If it was my water
heater the gunk would be gooy and its hard like calcium buildup. Anyway I
wonder if somehow things are connected. Still like right now I smell the
dust . There goes the theory. But I swear I smell the rid it. As for radon,
there is a water something beneath the house, which made it flood. We have a
drain built which is called waterproofed with sump pump. So you see it gets
complicated. To me I don't freaking know.

Could it be that you have a mold allergy and that your basement is
full of mold?
