First of all - there is a difference in how the doseage is expressed. In the
US the doseage of puffers is epressed at that delivered out the mouthpiece.
In Europe they use the amount dispensed fromt he nozel. Therefore the
Flovent 220ug./puff in the US would be termed 250ug in Europe. The numbers
in the dry powder inhalers are more akin to the Eupropean method so to
compare apples to apples (and to make the math easier) you should probably
consider the Flovent dose to be 250/puff and the total daily dose to be
1100ug/day.

I would suspect that while the doses of meds dispensed is theoretically
similar (1000/1100) that you are actually getting more with the Advair. it
may be that a larger total daily dose is making it to the lungs or that the
pattern of deposition within the lungs is more advantageous.

This is your error. When they say "absorption" the mean systemic absorption
into the blood stream (either thorugh the lungs or swallowed) - not what is
sent to the lungs.
