I have had a bad case of asthma since Christmas. I don't know why I
didn't recognize it as asthma, just thought I had a cough. Went to
doctor. She prescribed a short burst of prednisone and getting a
nebulizer. I did and it didn't help much in two weeks. Finally, she
prescribed more albuteral sulfate for my nebulizer and a long
prescription of prednisone, a six-week taper this time. I think I am
finally getting a hold on it. I still cough but not as much.
I am having a hard time coming up with things to eat. I think I will
make a large batch of pancake batter so all I have to do is fry up
some pancakes when I HAVE to eat with the prednisone.
I also use saline solution and two "puffers."
Wish me luck.

Hello,
Sometimes these medications can cause an increase in ocular pressure.
A check on the eye pressure is a good form of preventive medicine.
wish you luck.
take care.

An alternative is to make a large batch of waffles and freeze them. I
take a waffle from the freezer to a small plate, apply some butter,
microwave for 33 seconds (YMMV), drizzle on some honey or maple surface
and breakfast is served.
I could post my wife's recipe for the waffle batter if anyone is interested.
