I read plasma technology can possibly break down bad things better then
conventional technology. I have subsequentially seen a few major brands
touting plasma technology in their air cleaners yet the rate of cleaning a
room don't seem so much better and they don't seem to be advertising that
much if it worked better but on the box it looks interesting ( PLASMA
TECHNOLOGY). Filtrete has recently come out with a aircleaner and no mention
of plasma though. I think Sears has a few models with plasma. Has anyone
bought one and compared to conventional hepa filter technology? I am not
including the ionizers although I never got one with positive charging
ionizers. The negative ones I got were a complete waste of money , unless
you like the smell of electrically charged air that was just as dirty as
before :( no thanks!. The people who sell the negative ionizers should be
sued in court if you ask me. Opinions needed. I need a great air cleaner and
so many out there.
Finally I read not enough experimentation and useage history is known from
plasma to know whether the technology is completely safe for air cleaners.
Comments welcome.

I am not familiar with plasma technology in air cleaners. But I AM
familliar with plasma Television receivers and I just warn you and
those whom are radio/tv listeners that these plasma generators can
cause major radio interference which will belong to you!
In other words, if your plasma machine interferes with my radio/tv
reception then YOU are responsible to clean it up. Our (US) F.C.C. will
require you to eliminate the interference if caused by your plasma
generator.
(same with those noisy fish tank heaters-the ones with the blinking
light. They can wreck radio/tv reception for a mile or more)
Just a word to the wise.
