I am wondering if anyone has ever experienced this or knows what symptoms
this could represent, coughing for several years, but recently has started
to cough blood, there is also a pain on the left side of the chest, and
fatigue, difficulty breathing as if ran a marathon, waiting for the results
of an xray, but has anyone ever had such symptoms, and what it could be?

Arun, just curious here, but how could you assist with someone's
bronchitis?

Could be any number of things, but definitely sounds like you're
long overdue seeing a doctor about this.  I'd see a doctor
pronto - and when you call to make an appointment, tell them
you're coughing up blood.  That may get you in quicker.  Good
luck.

If the x-ray is normal you need a CT to take a better look.

If the x-ray is abnormal you need a CT to better characterize what they see.
