If you really think it is the dry powder form of Flovent trying the
relatively new Flovent HFA might help. I doubt the Serevent is the problem
so it probably doesn't matter. Trying Qvar or Asmanex instead of the Flovent
might help. Taking larger doses less frequently (like all 4 puffs once daily
instead of 2 puffs twice daily) might also help.

I'm sure he wants you on an inhaled steroid.

Thanks all for input.
I have Flovent HFA available and decided to take it ONLY, short term to
see what happens. After 2 days, sinus drainage is better, no negatives
in throat yet!!!
I have mild asthma, so am in early stages of dealing with Doctor , whom
is 75 miles away.
You cant get to him, Nurse only, on phone whom INSISTS I will be on
Advair, despite my protestations and alternative suggestions.
SInce I have PFT scheduled for Aug 21, and a visit with Doc the same
day, my rationale is to try SOMETHING and have the test rather than
blow off the whole thing another month or two.( I have been dealing
with the Advair problem a couple months-waste of time)
Since I have already been prescribed Flovent(in Advair 250) I dont see
how he can be upset with my Flovent 110 (2 puffs BID) as a start.
We'll see.
ALL ADVICE APPRECIATED!

Try Pulmicort. It works great for me, and won't kill me like Advair
could.
